Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone – PACKERS WIN!!!

Our next PFO meeting
is this Tuesday, February 8 at 7:00pm in the Leopold library. We have
3 guest speakers joining us this month. Siegrun Horst Kauti, site
director for the
Leopold After School Academic Center for Excellence (AACE) program will share
more information about AACE at Leopold
and how AACE staff members are helping students after school each day.
Wendy Rawson, Fitchburg Library director and MaryKay Zimbrick will
share building plans
and progress toward the Fitchburg library's opening day. Wendy will
share her vision for library services in Fitchburg. We will also hear
from Leopold
principal John Burkholder, share
information about Fun Fest planning and review upcoming events and activities.
Please join us on Tuesday evening – free childcare and Spanish
translation are always provided. See you Tuesday.

Last week's snow forced us to postpone the Chuck E Cheese family
FUNdraising event. We
have rescheduled this for Tuesday, February 22 from 3:00 – 9:00 pm.
Chuck E Cheese is located at 438
Grand Canyon Drive, next to Schwoegler Park Towne Lanes on Madison's west
side. Mark your calendars and we hope you can join us for another fun Leopold
event.

Registration for 4K students will take
place on Monday February 7 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at all
MMSD elementary schools. More information can be found at

Registration for 5-year-old kindergarten (5K)
students will take place on Monday March 7
from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at all
MMSD elementary schools. To be eligible for 5K, children must be five years old
on or before September 1, 2011. Parents
or guardians should register their child at their neighborhood school.
