Andrey Vorontsov - 1st place on EXPLORE test
Andrey participated in 2011 NUMATS EXPLORE test and scored first-place. He shared the first place with two other students (one from Tennessee and the other from Illinois).
4,660 fifth graders from Midwest and some other states took the EXPLORE test this year.
This Saturday, June 4th, he attended 2011 NUMATS Award Ceremony at Northwestern University. Andrey was recognized with a special certificate and "gold" medal for his first place. Andrey also received $750 scholarship towards any programs provided by the Center for Talent Development at the Northwestern.
Andrey scored 100% in Reading, English and SCIENCE (25 out of 25 points). In Math section he scored 22 out of 25, but the sum of his points was enough for the first place.
He and his family would like to thank the Leopold teachers and staff as we all celebrate Andrey's achievements.
